Der Berg selbst ist gesperrt und die Hikes sind leider zur Zeit nicht m\u00f6glich, wieder mal ist der Zyklon bzw die darauf folgenden Erdrutsche daran schuld, es scheint als sei die Nordinsel tats\u00e4chlich insgesamt ziemlich heftig getroffen worden. Aber hey, der Strand beginnt am Berg selbst und zieht sich endlos die Bucht in s\u00fcdlicher Richtung entlang. Der S\u00fcdpazifik ist nicht zu kalt, eher erfrischend, die Wellen machen grossen Spass. Anscheinend muss hier am Wochenende ein Surf Turnier gewesen sein, oder vielleicht findet auch am n\u00e4chsten eins statt? Ich fahre sp\u00e4ter in Richtung Taumarunui zu Pete und Corynne und w\u00e4hle die Route n\u00f6rdlich des Lake Taupo am Waikato River entlang.<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-1' class='gallery galleryid-2576
