{"id":4091,"date":"2011-06-24T14:50:41","date_gmt":"2011-06-24T12:50:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/zsuwd.de\/blog\/?p=4091"},"modified":"2011-06-24T14:52:00","modified_gmt":"2011-06-24T12:52:00","slug":"flug-mh-016-revisited-%e2%80%94-air-malaysia-vs-customer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/zsuwd.de\/blog\/?p=4091","title":{"rendered":"Flug MH 016 revisited \u2014 Air Malaysia vs Customer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Da der Flug von Perth \u00fcber Kuala Lumpur nach Berlin aus welchen Gr\u00fcnden auch immer sich um ungef\u00e4hr 14 Stunden versp\u00e4tet hatte und auch ansonsten kein Versuch unterlassen wurde, die ganze Aktion so unertr\u00e4glich wie auch nur irgend m\u00f6glich zu gestalten&#8230;<br \/>\nfyi der Schriftverkehr:<\/p>\n<p>Meine E-Mail an den Kundenservice:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Ladies and Gentlemen,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">i\u00b4m afraid i have to file this complaint because of the incompetence und unfriendliness of some staff of Air Malaysia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Initially i had booked the following transfer from Perth via Kuala Lumpur via Amsterdam to Berlin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">02APR\tMH 124\t\tPerth 16:25\t\t\t\tKuala Lumpur 22:05<br \/>\n02APR\tMH 016\t\tKuala Lumpur 23:55\t\tAmsterdam 06:35+1<br \/>\n03APR\tKL1821\t\tAmsterdam 08:10\t\t\tBerlin Tegel 09:30<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Flight MH 016 from KLIA to Amsterdam was cancelled.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Interestingly staff of Air Malaysia already had knowledge of this cancellation even before i boarded the plane in Perth, they just didn\u00b4t bother telling me. I definitely wouldn\u00b4t have boarded the plane if i had known of these complications. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Arriving in KLIA together with other passengers i waited a long time before an airport security officer eventually gave us the information that flight MH016 had been cancelled, obviously none of Air Malaysia staff were interested in providing that information to their customers. Again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">When i spoke to the Air Malaysia representatives at KLIA a little bit later they tried to shoo me off with a 20 rn food voucher, probably knowing that the minimum price for a meal at KLIA is more than 20 rn.<br \/>\nThey seemed to be interested in anything but their customers.<br \/>\nAlso they wanted me to wait until the next afternoon to then take a plane to Amsterdam.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">I managed to book a different flight to London Heathrow the next morning and a connection to Berlin with British Midland after tiring negotiations with Air Malaysia ground personnel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">When i eventually arrived in Berlin more than 13 hours later than originally expected my luggage had been lost somewhere on the way, and yes, i was not really surprised.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">My luggage was delivered to me the next day in the afternoon, unfortunately i had to learn that somebody had stolen the following items from my bag:<br \/>\nNorth Face Gore Tex Windbreaker Jacket<br \/>\nAdidas Clima Lite Running Shorts<br \/>\nClima-active Hiking Pants<br \/>\nAlso the backpack was damaged, somebody had removed the two stabilizing aluminium bars integrated in the back side of the backpack.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Is this only a series of very unfortunate events?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Looking forward to hearing from you,<br \/>\nyour disappointed customer<br \/>\nMartin Doerken<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Hier die Antwort von Air Malaysia, gesendet von meinem &#8222;pers\u00f6nlichen&#8220; Ansprechpartner, Betreff: Acknowledgement from Malaysia Airlines:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Date : 05\/05\/2011 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Case Reference : GTS195-05\/2011 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Dear  Martin Doerken,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Thank you for reaching out to Malaysia Airlines and for taking the time and effort to write to us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">We would appreciate it if you could allow us between 3-14 working days to reply to your feedback.
